This is a great site for finding [cheap] alternatives to all that cool software you just can’t afford.
You can look for Windows, Mac, Linux and online software alternatives.
Or click on the ‘mobile’ link under the site logo and search for alternatives to iPhone, Blackberry, Android or Win mobile apps.

Watching a movie with subtitles while I work just isn’t working out March 29, 2008
Posted by Kristin Lynch in : technology , 2 commentsI’m watching ‘The Lives of Others’ while I work, but the subtitles are really cutting down on my ability to get anything accomplished. The work will have to wait though because this is turning into an awesome movie.
Everything was kind of lousy this past week. My emotions are way out of check and I haven’t been sleeping well. I went to work a few hours early almost every day for that reason, then felt really tired by mid-day.
I’m confused about my relationship with Chris so that just added to my feelings of sadness. Driving home, I saw this in the sky and just had to snap it. It looks like a broken heart, doesn’t it?
I did manage to get some housecleaning done this morning. A miracle in itself since I didn’t expect I’d even get out of bed other than to feed the fuzzy boys.
I’ve been using RoboForm2Go on a trial basis. It’s a pretty slick password management application. I’ll definitely have to buy a copy once I get near the end of the trial period. You install this version of the product on a thumb drive and share it between 2 computers. As someone who has hundreds of work and personal passwords to keep track of, this simplifies keeping track of them and speeds up site logins and form completion. The application itself is password protected and the data is encrypted.
Well that’s all for now. I want to get back to this movie.
