Stuff that’s interested me lately… June 10, 2008
Posted by Kristin Lynch in : technology , 2 commentsA friend of mine on Twitter sent me an invite to a new product I’ve wanted to try called Dropbox. It’s the best online file storage system I’ve tried in a long time – and I’ve tried most others by now such as xDrive and MyDocs. Dropbox is a very fast and easy install, and the file synchronization is better than most others offer. Dropbox also allows you to publicly offer files or create folders/files and send links to your friends for easy sharing.
I’ve also been playing with FeedJumbler as a way to create single RSS feeds from multiple feeds. It works pretty well and offers some features not offered by other tools of its kind, but I’m not crazy about how none of them make it very easy to add or remove source feeds.
The Yankees are having a terrible season, and NHL hockey just ended. Good thing some new shows are starting this summer and I have a ton of movies to watch! Two favorites – new seasons of 30 Days and Mad Men have started or will be starting soon.
I finally broke down and bought a ‘new’ 80GB Classic iPod. It IS brand new, but it’s hardly the newest model anymore. I love it. I have my entire music collection and a ton of podcasts and 2-3 seasons of TV shows – such as the first seasons of 30 Days, Rome, and The Tudors.
